Chip Sellarole and Tammy Kennon opened Chip’s Wine & Beer Market in
May 2005 with the goal of providing a wide selection of wine and beer at reasonable prices with expert and friendly service.
We stock more than 2000 wines and 400 beers.
At the same time, we opened Outer Banks Wine University devoted to wine and beer education. We offer a minimum of two classes each week:
Wine Tasting 101 and Wine Tasting 201.
Chip, our wine dean, has been in the wine business for 20 years. He’s been heard to say, “If they want ice in their Dom Perignon, give it to them. At least they’re drinking wine.” Chip strips the snobbery out of the whole wine scene and explains it in a way that anyone can understand.
