Once you’ve learned the basics in 101, this class will take you a step farther. What difference does the “terroir” make? What the heck is “terroir”? Is Chianti a place or a grape? Chip will walk you through winemaking regions of the world and their impact on the wine, the most common grape varieties and much, much more.
From the vine to your lips, Chip will walk you through the life of a glass of wine, vineyard to winery to bottle to you. You learn about how fermentation produces alcohol and how the alcohol level affects the end product and the food you eat it with. Stepping a bit beyond Wine Tasting 101, you’ll learn some of the complexities of a wine’s “nose” and why that makes a difference.
